"Melaragno Residential Design wins top award in National Design Competition"

Upper Arlington, Ohio – July 31, 2008- Andrew Melaragno of Melaragno Residential Design, LLC located in Upper Arlington, Ohio was awarded “Best of Show” along with two other awards in the 2008 American Residential Design Awards (ARDA) at the American Institute of Building Design (AIBD) convention on Saturday July 27, 2008 in Kansas City Missouri.

The awards ceremony is held the final evening every year at the AIBD national convention. Each year home designers from around the United States and Canada enter their best work into the design competition under 10 different categories and sub categories. Andrew Melaragno was awarded Best of Show for a home he designed for a couple in Powell, Ohio. The Powell home was also awarded First place in the Custom Luxury, 5001-6500 square feet category. Melaragno was awarded second place in the Working Drawing category for plans he prepared for a Michael Edwards Building and Design, Inc. home built in Upper Arlington. The Working Drawing award was based on the content, accuracy, clarity and overall appearance of the construction drawings used to construct the home. The Awards for the Powell home were based on the overall design of the home. After all categories are judged, the ARDA judges then pick the best entry out of all for the “Best of Show” Award. There were about 150 entries in the entire competition.
